Review

Oh my God, I'm totally in love with Abbi Glines now! Not one of her books disappointed me, they are all breathtaking and steamy read! I wanna hug her for bringing such lovely short stories in this world, and thank Goodreads for having me discovered these stories, they made every single day of my summer vacation worth it!

"Never throw a Kerrington a challenge like that one. We would go above and beyond."

I love the Too Far series mainly because of Rush and Blaire's sexy romantic affair but I also loved it because that's where I met Woods and knew him as a sweet and caring sexy Golf Club owner. But now that Woods also has his own series and I got to know him better, I think I am torn between him and Rush now.

“I’ll be whatever she needs me to be. I can’t walk away from her, I tried. I’m hooked.”

I love Rush because his character is so sexy and angsty but he frustrates me a lot because he always set aside Blaire for Nan. But Woods was different he consistently put Della first before anything else even his long time dream to be the VP of the club. Though he's idiot at times because of his conflicts with his father and desire to be with Della, he still managed to compose himself and made a decision that would definitely change his life forever. He took all the risk and find a way to be with her, he still cared for her even she showed him the worst of her and he finally realized that it's about time to be a man and cut the strings that made him his father's puppet. A guy who knows what he wants and knows how to get it, well it's no other than.... WOODS KERRINGTON!!!

“I dont want to destroy you - Della
Losing you would be the only thing that could destroy me - Woods”

Della was another innocent and troubled girl who happened to meet Woods because she doesn't know how to pump a gas. Her lack of exposure to the outside world brought her to explore it once she received her freedom. She did things she wished to do without any interference from anyone. She fiercely express herself and her excitement to have steamy sex which Woods willingly gave her the experience she wouldn't forget. But little did they both know that night is something more than a one-night-stand. It's the night that will unlock their desires to be loved and to be cared about. It's the night that Woods will risk everything he have worked hard for and it's the night that would made Della feel that outside world isn't a monstrous place but a place where you could feel extraordinary love when you found the right one.

“Not everyone sees you the way you do. Sometimes our imperfections are what makes us special. - Tripp”

Blaire's innocence is nothing compared to Della's. Della is literally innocent but I gotta say that she is stronger than Blaire. She fights her weakness and though she knows Woods doesn't deserve her imperfection, she still hopes that he will come to find her and fight for their love. Unlike Blaire that when sees that something's wrong, she's "uhh... I don't belong" and run away. But I still love both of them, they're innocent in their own ways and they made their series so wonderful!

The ending is not much of a cliffhanger. I actually don't think it is, there's a shocking thing that happened in the end and it will totally affect the book 2, so I need Simple Perfection now I can't wait for Fall season for it to be released!

Review
Rating: 3.5 stars

I don't know what to say about this book so I just made this review a brief one.

I expected that I would fall head over heels with this book, I REALLY WANT to but I'm not! *sigh* It's not that this book isn't good, in fact it is but I am just not so into it.

I got bored reading it so I stopped and read other books instead. After a week I decided to give it another chance, I thought maybe it's not the book maybe it's just me, so I went back on it. When I am getting deeper in the story I am starting to like it and understand each characters. Since then, it has me 'till the end but that's just it, I liked it but I wasn't swooning over it.

Maybe the first time I read this book wasn't the great moment to read it that's why it did not sink in my head. I am glad I took a break and read it again and be able to appreciate it, but still it didn't live up to my expectations which I am kinda sad about. But then again, it's a good book and I am a different person. I have different taste from the others, so maybe if you read it and it matched your taste then you'll give it 5 stars.

Hope(less) by Melissa Haag

Synopsis
Our world is being judged and we remain unaware.

In a world filled with people, Gabby is uniquely alone. The tiny sparks she sees in her mind represent the people around her, but she doesn't know why she sees them.

A chance encounter leads her closer to answers she's struggled to find, and into a hidden society where fur is optional.
Review

I am reluctant on reading this book at first because I am not anymore a fan of werewolf characters/books, I just thought those already past their prime, but reading the first part of this book made me rethink my assumption, moreover, finishing it made me conclude that I was wrong. Werewolf books aren't past their prime yet! Hope(less) still has an effect on me and I've been fangirling ever since I've finished it.

I must say the beginning of the novel was not well paced, at first I thought it was slow, Gabby and Sam met each other, they became friends and Sam introduced her to his werewolves pack and then suddenly *BOOM* it jumped 2 years! That was a pretty big time loop, I wasn't able to see the development in Gabby and Sam's relationship, they just became close and she trust him like a family. But the middle part up to end was good it showed the development of each character, and the slow development on Gabby and Clay's relationship.

The reason I was hooked again with werewolves is the way they were described in this book. They are not some uncontrollable ill-tempered creatures who will throw themselves into a fight once they get annoyed. They have a reason why they throw themselves into a fight and that is to find their mate. Yeah, they were desperate to find the girl whom they can feel this irresistible pull and hopefully make a tie with her. I think the loveliest part of this mate finding and tie bonding is the courting that has to be done by the wolf until the girl claims him and finally seal the tie.

I love the courting part all because of Clay! He's the man (or the dog)! Let's face it! Clay isn't the most ideal leading man, he looks filthy with his long hair that covers his eyes and long beard that covers his mouth but his thoughtfulness and patience for Gabby to claim him was really awesome, it made him the ideal man not by his looks but by his big heart.

The undoubtedly best part of this book was the subtle romance between Gabby and Clay. When Gabby met Clay she surely felt a strong pull towards him, but the pull did not affect the progress of their relationship because Gabby remain reluctant on claiming him because of her dreams. Though Gabby's feelings grew gradually, still Clay willingly and patiently court her until she was 100% sure of him. This is another unique from this book because their love wasn't artificially made by the pull but it was naturally developed over time.

I noticed there are few misspelled words that need to be corrected, but that's okay because it doesn't affect how I feel for this book! I think this is pretty amazing, it gives another dimension for werewolf books and supernatural people like Gabby. I give this book 4.5 stars and 5 stars for the wonderful author Melissa Haag! I feel lucky that it's already April, I don't need to wait long for the book 2!

The Education of Sebastian by Jane Harvey-Berrick

Synopsis
A friendship between the lost and lonely Caroline, and the unhappy Sebastian, leads to an illicit love that threatens them both.
Caroline Wilson is trapped in a cold and loveless marriage with an older man. When her husband finally wins a long sought-after promotion, Caroline feels she has little choice but to follow him to a new home in San Diego. There she meets Sebastian, a young man of 17.
For an all too brief summer, their happiness blooms.
But external pressures begin to bear down, not least from the overbearing David, and Sebastian’s parents begin to suspect that their son has a secret. Even Caroline’s new friend, Donna, realizes that dark passions exist below the serene surface.
Review
WOW. AMAZING. FABULOUS. GREAT. ETC. This book is the epitome of what-you-called FORBIDDEN LOVE. It is completely filled with love, joy, drama, hope, fear, excitement, and unhappy ending. The moment I came across this book my eyes flickered with excitement and I instantly added it to my to-read list. When I read it's synopsis I already knew at that time that this book is different from the others. It is not some confusing love triangle, and the heroine is not an innocent young girl but a married 30 year-old woman who is unhappy with her marriage, while the hero is really young at 17 and feeling devastated with his awful parents.

This is my first time to encounter a story like this. The age difference of the characters doesn't bother me, I actually like it that way because it adds angst as well as excitement to the story.

A summer of stolen happiness that's how Caroline described her moments with Sebastian. That's also how I am going to describe it because indeed all of their moments together are stolen seconds from reality. She's married and he's young(underage actually), they are not supposed to be together but who are they to resist love? And how can they resist a blazing love that they've been waiting for so long?

“It's always been you, Caro. The first time I saw you, I thought you were the most beautiful girl that I'd ever seen. I thought you must be a princess like Cinderella. It's only ever been you.”

He likes her since he was 8 and he always remember how sweet and caring Caroline have been with him since she left. I never imagined that the fantasy of an 8 year old boy would turn real when he reached 17. That was really sweet to think that at a young age he already love and cared for someone though he may not know it yet at that time, but as soon as he became mature enough to feel real love then he can already define his feelings for Caroline that has been there all the time.

“What do you think I've got here that I wouldn't give up in a heartbeat to be with you? There's nothing to keep me here: I'll go anywhere, do anything to be with you.”

I will admit that at first I thought Sebastian is just infatuated with her and he's just enjoying the spur of the moment. I've been predicting scenes that he will realize it and leave Caroline, but I was so wrong! The moment never came and he was still madly and utterly in love with her all throughout the book. He is ready to be anywhere and do anything just to be with her. He is really sweet and always true to his words! :D

"I chose love over law. And I didn't care."

Wow this is the most fearless statement Caroline have ever said! She's usually a coward when it comes to saying what she feels and doing what she wants. She never ever argue with his sulky and childish husband even when she's the one who is right. In short she does nothing to fight for herself, but now that Sebastian came into her life she's not just ready to leave everything behind for him but she is also ready to be brave enough to break the law just to be with him.

Despite what happened that day, despite what happened later, I can't bring myself to regret the events of that summer, because Sebastian taught me how to love.

This book has the most heart ripping ending, I can't help but to feel miserable for them and to loathe everyone who caused this ending to be this painful! Caroline and Sebastian are so lovely together, they found love in their hopeless situations and they continue to love each other regardless of the consequences, so they don't deserve this kind of ending! Whew! Sorry for ranting I just feel extremely sad for them. I have to calm down now and remind myself that this is not the end because there is still The Education of Caroline, Yey! I just read reviews that this one is better, so I am putting all my hopes on it. Book 2 must give justice to the Caro and Seb because they deserve a happy ending.

Review

Since I said Fallen too Far won't be my first and last from Abbi Glines' romance then I have to prove it to you now, as in NOW. After reading the first book I can't contain myself because of that cliffhanger ending so I instantly read Never Too Far. Sure thing Abbi knows how to make good romance I just proved it after reading the second book, but the way she makes the ending of her story is somewhat depressing. Honestly, I expected more than that. I felt like a child given a candy and then someone snatched it away because the story is getting really good then suddenly it will end just like that. If that would be the conclusion of Blaire and Rush's story then that's definitely a BIG NO NO for me! Luckily, Abbi announced in her site that she will make one more book for Rush and Blaire so I think that ending is acceptable for now.

This book is different from the first one 'cause this time it has dual POV. Yes, you can now see what's running on Rush's mind and how he feels about the situation with Blaire.

"No. One. Comes. Before. You." -Rush

This certainly as sweet as a cotton candy promise but this would be sweeter if only Rush would fulfill this and won't prioritize Nan over Blaire. It breaks my heart everytime Rush says this thing to Blaire but then he will break it once Nan is in need. I hate to see Rush running away from her and Blaire would be her insecure and "I don't fit in" self again. Rush needs to grow up and be a man.

"This is mine and I take care of what's mine." -Rush

This line makes me crazy and want to switch position with Blaire. He may be stupid at times and broke his promise many times but I like it when he once said this line while sexually showing Blaire that he meant it.

And as for Nan, Georgianna and Abe, I wish they will come into their senses, well at least spineless Abe had but Nan and her mother? Oh I really wish they will and accept Blaire as their family! Ooops I almost forgot my other reason why I love this Too Far series.... it's no other than Woods Kerrington! Yoo hoo! I can't wait to know more about him in his book Twisted Perfection, I bet that is also a nice, hot and sexy novel but I hope it has a better ending.

Never Too Far has two major bombs but again I don't want to spill it out, I want you to experience it fresh with your eyes. :)

For the bonus chapter I would give you the link but please don't read it if you haven't read Fallen Too Far and Never Too Far 'cause it contains too much spoilers Never Too Far Bonus Chapter

Review
Even before reading the synopsis I already added this book to my want-to-read list because I love the cover so much. It shows so much love and passion so I thought this book has to be a good one and I was right! The story is as hot as it's book cover and it's freaking awesome!

This was my first Abbi Glines book and it certainly won't be the last because I've fallen too far with her story and I can't stop asking for more. Reading it in just one sitting proves how much I enjoyed it. It was such a good story, the heroine is young and innocent while the hero is spoiled, rich, and handsome. Those were the common characters in new adult books but I don't think I will get enough of them. I love innocent girls falling in love with angsty rich guy and it feels like the whole world is against them. You may think it is a typical story but I am telling you it's not. The author made the story so unpredictable, I felt like I am reading in the dark for hours and just saw the light in the end.

Before, I thought I cannot rate a male protagonist with 5 stars for a long time because of Thoughtless' Kellan Kyle hangover, but I can't deny that I am having a major Rush-crush right now. As how Blaire describes him...

"The guy was strange. Sexy, gorgeous and delicious but strange."

Rush is a mysterious guy with a big secret. I don't want to spill out information about his secret because I want you to experience how I felt when I knew what it was. While the other guys in the story Woods and Grant, oh they are really likable.Woods is rich, flirt but a caring friend while Grant is sweet and funny stepbrother of Rush. And Oh *Bitch Alert* there's Nan in the story she's Rush's sister.. I mean evil little sister. The story is filled with characters with different personalities but they are all rich except for Blaire. She's the only one who doesn't fit in the circle but she has Rush's heart so it doesn't matter, all that matter is that Rush loves and adores her.

As for the ending uh... I was STUNNED I have never seen a story ended like that. It's a killer seriously, it made me more excited to read the next book. I hope you read this and enjoy it the same way I enjoyed it. :)

Review
Finally I found it! After searching for so long for a book that will have a lasting effect on me and will make me feel the same after reading it over and over again, finally *sigh*....I fount it!

THOUGHTLESS - The book that was able to break my heart, twist and turn my emotions, freeze my brain and fall in love with a fictitious character again all at the same time! Though I found it late I still feel grateful since the second and third book were already out. I don't have to mope around waiting for another year to come for the following books to be released. Huh being late comes handy at times*wink*.

To S.C. Stephens wow you're a genius! For a writer to be able to keep me up all day all night for one whole week then you must be someone really brilliant. I commend her for that and would have to give her infinite stars for her great work. I can't believe her debut novel would be really something big someday. I wish I have her smarts to do the same someday *sigh*.

I fell in love with this book, the story, and the characters. So far it's the only book I read twice and able to make me feel the same as the first time I read it. I felt the same love, joy and grief. It never failed to make my stomach upside down and it never failed to make me cry AGAIN! Crying twice for the same book is a big deal for me. I never have done that before and I never thought I am going to since I already knew what was going to happen. At first I was caught off guard by the intense scenes but the second time that I felt the same, that's the time I knew that this book have my heart. It was burned inside me and really touched me emotionally.

The story is realistic and somehow the characters seems to be real. Kiera, the girl who doesn't have it all perfect, she's smart and beautiful but she was described by her sister Anna as "book smart and not street smart". She's good with books but not with people, she doesn't even make good decisions especially when it comes to love. She allowed herself to be totally consumed with love and make her world revolve around her boyfriend. She acts as if she's not a fully functioning human if Denny's not around. When life throws her challenges and that involves Denny being away from her she breaks apart and make mistakes. Mistakes that cannot be simply covered with a simple lies. Mistakes that are so big that she has to make choices or else she will lose it all. I got angry with her a lot of times up to the point that I want to stop reading because I was so upset with her decisions yet I find myself continue reading it. I don't know I just don't have the power to stop and not finish the story.

Denny, uh he's sweet, loving and caring boyfriend to Kiera. Maybe he's everything a girl would want but he and Kiera are a lot alike. He also let himself be consumed by a certain aspect of his life - his career. He bring Kiera with him thousand miles away from her family yet he chose his job. Sad. But I can't blame him every person has his own priorities and for him it's his job.

Kellan the rockstar who caught my heart and for sure the heart of every girl who read this book. He's totally a chick magnet, he stands out from the crowd because of his jaw dropping looks. Girls love to throw themselves at him. He can have them anyway he wants and anytime he wants but only one girl would change that habit of him, Kiera. Unfortunate for him the only woman he ever loved was with someone else, worse that person who has her heart was his bestfriend, Denny.

Their big fat messy love triangle is killing me but I learned things from reading this book. One you cannot cover a lie with another lie, two, you cannot correct a mistake with another mistake and three if you want everything to workout then NEVER LIE.

"No time spent with you is wasted."

This quote from Kiera is how exactly I feel for this book.

Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire

Synopsis
Abby Abernathy is a good girl. She doesn’t drink or swear, and she has the appropriate number of cardigans in her wardrobe. Abby believes she has enough distance from darkness of her past, but when she arrives at college with her best friend, her path to a new beginning is quickly challenged by Eastern University’s Walking One-Night Stand.

Travis Maddox, lean, cut, and covered in tattoos, is exactly what Abby wants—and needs—to avoid. He spends his nights winning money in a floating fight ring, and his days as the ultimate college campus charmer. Intrigued by Abby’s resistance to his appeal, Travis tricks her into his daily life with a simple bet. If he loses, he must remain abstinent for a month. If Abby loses, she must live in Travis’s apartment for the same amount of time. Either way, Travis has no idea that he has met his match.

Review
THIS BOOK IS AWESOME!!! I swear this is definitely ADDICTIVE once you started reading it then there's no way you will put it down unfinished. Beautiful Disaster was the first book I found in goodreads, it has very good ratings and a lot of reviews though I think most of the reviews are misleading. I will admit that my first reason for reading it was curiosity, I was intrigued by the reviews posted that this book contains disturbing scenes. Reading those comments made me assume that Travis was physically and sexually abusing Abby but hell I was wrong! I was definitely mislead! Travis was not abusing Abby by any means, but yes this book may contain disturbing scenes for some people who are sensitive to Alpha male traits like aggressive and ferocious, also to those who easily offended by cursing.

Abby wants to start fresh by moving across the country, she left her past and swear not to get herself into that kind of life again, then she met Travis Maddox, the campus charmer who fell in love with her because of her power to resist his appeal and not get herself on his hands after several attempts of alluring her.

"He oozed sex and rebelliousness with his buzzed, brown hair and tattooed forearms, and I rolled my eyes at his attempt to lure me in."

Her description for Travis WOWed me, a guy that kind is really hard not to notice though I am not really a fan of guy covered with tattoos I think Travis will still pass my taste as long as his tats looks good on him.

"So what's your story, Pidge? Are you a man-hater in general, or do you just hate me?" "I think it's just you," I grumbled.

I can't really figure out how can she possibly resist him and tell his face that she doesn't like him. It takes a lot of guts to turn down a sexy man like Travis and I admire her for that. Anyways, after that Travis gave up luring her and agreed to be just friends with her. Weeks have passed and still Travis didn't try anything to sleep with her, this made Abby realized that he really was interested only in friendship but that insulted her for unknown reason. As their friendship gets deeper she learned to trust him but rumors are spreading about their weird and "uncommon for Travis" relationship, she doesn't want to be labeled as one of his sluts so she tries to prove everyone that they are just friends.

"Oh, hell no. Are you trying to get me killed? You've gotta change Pidge." "What?" I asked. "Get some a t-shirt on... and some sneakers. Something comfortable." "What? Why?" "Because I'll be more worried about who's looking at your tits in that shirt instead of Hoffman."

Travis was get called to a fight but before heading there they had this cute conversation. Oh that overprotective bastard! He gets under the pants of every girls in Eastern University but he can't afford to let anyone see under Abby's shirt, ugh he's adorable! Before the fight started Trav made a bet with Abby, if he wins she will move in with him for a month but if he loses then he must remain abstinent for a month also, then that is where their relationship gets more of a roller coaster ride!

They finally live together but Abby still plays her shit! She's seeing Parker and act as if she doesn't know that she's hurting Travis! At first I really don't understand her and why she continues to be in state of denial about her feelings for him but as I go deeper in the story I finally understand her fears, Travis is a threat! He may be the key that will unlock her past while Parker is the light that will shine away all its dark debris.

“I’m sorry, Shepley,” I called after him. He froze and wheeled around, with the face of a man that had reached his limit. “I wish you and Travis would just get your shit together! You’re a goddamn tornado! When you’re happy, it’s love and peace and butterflies. When you’re pissed, you take the whole fucking world down with you!”

This is my other reason why I love this book! The other lovers Shepley and America makes me crazy. They are kinda funny and annoying at times because they feel that their relationship depends on the status of Abby and Travis' relationship. Shepley gets paranoid whenever there's something going on with Travis and Abby, he doesn't approve of the two going out together because he's afraid he'll lose America once Travis and Abby were over.

“To douchebags!" he said, gesturing to Brad. "And to girls that break your heart," he bowed his head to me. His eyes lost focus. "And to the absolute fucking horror of losing your best friend because you were stupid enough to fall in love with her.”

And....(drum rolls) the big day came (drum rolls) Travis and Abby were finally over! Now everything was messed up even Shepley and America! This is the part that broke my heart, I felt very sad about what happened to Travis he tried to act normal, he didn't push through winning back Abby because he was so afraid that if he did't let her go he'll lose their friendship and he'll lose everything about her.

“Fighting, laughing, loving or crying, if it was with him, I was where I wanted to be.”

I'll put everything I have. I don't regret a single second with you, Pidge, and I never will.”

“I was his exception, and as much as I had tried to fight my feelings, he was mine.”

Of course this book wouldn't be perfect without these lovely quotes! There are lots of cute things Abby and Travis said to each other especially when they got back together, yes they are together again! hell if they don't end up with each other I would definitely be upset and just imagine my own ending in my mind. Anyways, the ending was so mind-blowing it made me scared for once (you'll know why if you will read it ) but then it made me really happy when they got their fairy tale ending!

Jamie McGuire is brilliant! Beautiful Disaster is definitely a must read though it made my eyes puffy for lack of sleep I don't regret reading it because it was worth it! I heard they are going to make movie adaptation for this book huh the actors are better be good then! I also can't wait to read Walking Disaster because I am so excited to get into Travis'mind! Read this book and I am sure you won't get disappointed!

Happy reading! :)
